According to a study by the University of Pennsylvania, nearly 70% of CBD extracts sold online are mislabeled. You don’t have to worry about unwanted THC showing up in our products, our lab reports show no detectable THC.

USA-GROWN HEMP

Our hemp is always grown under rigorous farming standards and strict guidelines within U.S. soil. While this isn’t the most cost-effective option for us, the quality of our phytocannabinoid-rich hemp is too important to cut corners.

Our Process

1. Superior Farming
Each product Primitive1 creates starts with our natural proprietary strains of hemp that are high in CBD. All of the hemp we use is grown in nutrient-rich soil in the U.S.A. Our farmers operate under strict guidelines and we take advantage of the state-of-the-art farming process. This not only enhances the quality of our natural proprietary strains but also makes sure our products are safe, regulated and unsurpassed in their potency and consistency.
2. Raw Hemp Processing
The plants we use are dried and warehouses after they are harvested. Once needed for production, it is milled into a coarse power. The milling process adheres to the highest standards in the industry. Once it is processed, it’s shipped to our processing and manufacturing facility.
3. Proprietary Extraction
We use a proprietary hemp extraction and purification process that involves supercritical CO2, a commonly used method of extraction. This allows us to make sure that many of hemp’s beneficial phytocannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids are preserved in the process. Resulting in the highest quality broad-spectrum hemp oil available. CBD on its own has numerous benefits, but a growing body of research has found that broad-spectrum products lead to multiplying benefits aka the entourage effect. Once extracted, undesirable plant solids like waxes are removed from the oil.
4. Separation
Before further refinement, our hemp extract is separated from the supercritical CO2 used in the extraction process. Once completed, the CO2 is recycled and used again in the distillation process.
5. THC Removal and Refining
Some say this is one of the most important steps in the process and we agree. THC is the compound found in cannabis that produces the “high” associated with the plant. We use proprietary technology to remove unwanted compounds still present in our oil. These compounds include wax, chlorophyll, plant pigments and trace amounts of THC. It is then “washed” and “polished.” As you can check here, our lab results show no detectable THC.
6. Third-Party Lab Testing
Before releasing any batch, it goes through rigorous third-party lab testing, setting a new bar of testing in the industry. Every batch receives the most comprehensive testing that’s available: microbial (E. coli, yeast, mold), potency (ensuring what’s on the label is in the bottle), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, and cadmium) and pesticides (60 total). All of our products come with a QR code linking to both the internal lab reports on the raw oil and the third-party testing on the finished product. CBD on its own has numerous benefits, but a growing body of research has found that broad-spectrum products lead to multiplying benefits aka the entourage effect.
